Description
This two-part webinar series provides an overview of general requirements and guidelines on how to size, design, and detail steel reinforced, cast-in-place concrete structural members in building structures, that, where implemented, will result in enhanced constructability. The following structural members are covered:
• One-way slabs
• Two-way slabs
• Beams
• Columns
• Walls
• Foundations
Although many of the guidelines are applicable to members in buildings assigned to any Seismic Design Category, the focus of the presentation is on members in buildings assigned to Seismic Design Category A or B.
Guidelines for tolerance compatibility are also presented, including information on how to identify tolerance conflicts that are commonly encountered in the construction of steel reinforced, cast-in-place concrete structures. Recommendations on how to possibly avoid such conflicts are also given.
This is a recorded webinar series from August 2 & 3, 2022.
