The Philippines Chapter of the American Concrete Institute hosted a Fiber-Reinforced Concrete Bowling Ball Competition on June 22, 2019, on the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman. 1st Place Winner Far Eastern University Institute of Technology 2nd Place Winner University of the Philippines Diliman – Team B 3rd Place Winner University of the Philippines Diliman – Team A The first-place winner will receive financial support from the local chapter to participate in the upcoming ACI FRC Bowling Ball Competition in Rosemont/Chicago, IL, USA, on March 29, 2020 during The Concrete Convention & Exposition. Teams interested in applying for funding from ACI, have until June 30, 2019, to complete the application for the ACI Competition Travel Stipend Program. The stipend will provide up to $5,000 to cover travel expenses for the Fall 2019 FRP Composite Beam Competition in Cincinnati, OH, USA, or the Spring 2020 FRC Bowling Ball Competition.
