The American Concrete Institute (ACI) recently hosted the first ever 24 Hours of Concrete Knowledge Conference along with ACI international chapters and partners. The free conference brought together more than 700 attendees from over 60 different countries to learn of innovations and interesting concrete projects from various regions. “The 24 Hours of Concrete Knowledge Conference was a great success and ACI plans on bringing this event to the world-wide concrete community again in 2022. The conference highlighted a unified global passion for increasing the concrete body of knowledge and advancing the best practices for using concrete,” stated Ron Burg, Executive Vice President, American Concrete Institute. “It also emphasized the diversity of the worldwide concrete community through the variety of presentation topics and methodologies and renewed the principle that ideas for improving concrete technology come from around the world.” ACI international chapters and global industry partners co-hosted and moderated over the course of 24 hours, and ACI vice presidents Charles Nmai and Tony Nanni served as global moderators for the conference.
