Description:
A Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations.

Our program includes a two-day review session led by an ACI team that has previous experience as inspectors. The two-day program follows those items outlined in the Job Task Analysis as listed on the ACI website for this program. We then allow approximately 7 to 14 days between the review session and the exam session to allow the attendee additional time to prepare for the 4-hour exam. If you are traveling to the Resource Center from out of town, arrangements can be made for you to take the exams on day three.

Review sessions begin at 8:00 am and end at approximately 4:00 pm (Check-in begins at 7:45 am). The exam will begin at 8:00 am on test day. You are allowed 3 hours to complete the open-book exam. It consists of approximately 80 questions. This is then followed by a 1-hour plan reading exam; it consists of approximately 20 questions.
