How do the code requirements get to the contractor?

Q. How do the code requirements get to the contractor?

 

A. The contractor receives the contract documents based on specifications, such as ACI 301 or others used by the owner’s engineer or architect, that include the relevant items from the code. The engineer or architect may belong to a consulting firm or a state or federal agency.
