If the cementitious material paste is not sufficient in amount to float all of the aggregate particles, what is the result?

Q. If the cementitious material paste is not sufficient in amount to float all of the aggregate particles, what is the result?

 

A. The concrete is granular or crumbly. It is not mobile and cannot be molded properly. Even with heavy ramming or mechanical vibration, there will be honeycombed places or unfilled voids.
