Q. What range in slump is recommended for various types of construction?

A. ACI 211.1 recommends the range of slump for various types of construction. The ranges indicated provide for differences in aggregate characteristics and placing conditions. Air entrainment will usually permit lower slumps for the same placing requirements. The proper slump can be anywhere from zero to flowing.
