Temperature Control Time

Q. How long should temperature control be maintained for mass concrete?

A. According to ACI 301 “Specifications for Concrete Construction”, concrete temperature and temperature difference within concrete must be controlled from the time the concrete is placed until the time that the difference between the average daily ambient and the internal temperatures at time of protection removal is less than specified temperature difference limit of 35°F (19°C).
