From committee meetings and technical sessions, to networking events and an industry tradeshow, the ACI Spring 2014 Convention in Reno, NV, offers a place to engage with industry leaders and experts from around the globe from March 23-27, 2014. Online registration is open through March 7, 2014! ACI conventions are dedicated to bringing together the leaders in the concrete industry. These individuals work to improve the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects. Conventions provide a forum for networking, education, and an opportunity to provide input on the concrete industry codes, specifications. Over 300 committee meetings are held during the ACI convention. Committees meet to develop the standards, reports, and other documents necessary to keep up with the ever-changing world of concrete technology. Technical and educational sessions provide attendees with the latest research, case studies, best practices, and the opportunity to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs). In Reno, over 30 sessions will be held, providing attendees with the opportunity to hear from industry experts on topics such as seismic assessment of reinforced concrete buildings, monitoring of cold weather concreting, and a review of the repair material selection guide. Additionally, ACI conventions offer numerous networking events where you can expect to meet with many of the industry’s top engineers, architects, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives from around the world. It is the goal to provide each and every attendee with a place to meet with their peers and grow in the industry. Networking events such as the Women in ACI Reception, Faculty Network Reception, and Opening Reception provide such forums for attendees to be always advancing. An added benefit at the ACI convention is the industry tradeshow, where companies from across the country come to showcase their products and services. Attendees may walk the tradeshow floor during the three full days of the show, learning about the latest in concrete technologies, systems, and applications.
