The American Concrete Institute recently attended the 2016 Structural Engineering Summit hosted by the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) to promote the newly updated ACI 562-16 Code Requirements for Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures and Commentary in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. While at the show, ACI talked to structural engineers from across the country about how ACI’s 562-16 can be a resource for assessment, repair, and rehabilitation of existing structural concrete buildings, members, systems and where applicable, non-building structures. While at the summit, ACI Member Chuck Larosche, P.E., presented a session titled New ACI Standards & the Repair of Existing Concrete Structures, that presented case study examples of how the new 562-16 code can be used.
