An International Partnership Agreement between the Spanish Structural Engineering Association (Asociación Española de Ingeniería Estructural) and the American Concrete Institute was recently completed, as part of an international initiative to seek opportunities to advance global outreach. This new agreement formalizes the desire to increase collaboration and cooperation through a mutual exchange of technical expertise. International Partners work with ACI to increase access to information to engineering community, professionals and experts worldwide. The Spanish Structural Engineering Association is composed of professionals and scholars interested in research and practical applications in the structural engineering field. Founded in 1999, the association holds an international conference every three years, and publishes a journal – “Hormigon y Acero,” (Concrete and Steel.) The association is also organizing the 4th International Conference on Structual Engineering – Education Without Borders, which will take place June 20-22, 2018, in Madrid, Spain.
