The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is excited to announce its membership in the National Concrete Bridge Council (NCBC). This membership, which was approved recently by NCBC, aligns with ACI's mission to foster global advancement in concrete technology and professional standards. Approval of ACI’s application will solidify a new alliance aimed at enhancing the concrete bridge industry. ACI is a leading global organization dedicated to advancing concrete knowledge. Through its educational programs, technical certifications, and global standards development, ACI serves a wide range of professionals in the concrete industry, including engineers, contractors, and researchers. As part of its strategic plan, ACI is committed to building meaningful collaborations, and membership in the NCBC presents a valuable opportunity to enhance its influence in the concrete bridge sector. The NCBC represents a coalition of concrete industry organizations and advocates for the use of concrete in bridge construction. The Council focuses on promoting quality, sustainability, and innovation in concrete bridge design, construction, and maintenance. By joining the NCBC, ACI aims to contribute its technical expertise and resources to further the Council’s efforts to advance concrete bridges as a durable, long-lasting solution for public infrastructure. “ACI’s membership in NCBC will create synergies between ACI’s broad expertise in concrete standards and education, and NCBC’s industry-specific focus on advocacy, research, and policy development,” stated ACI President Michael J. Paul. “Together, ACI and NCBC can drive improvements in bridge safety, durability, and sustainability, while enhancing workforce skills and industry knowledge. ACI’s strategic alignment with the NCBC will not only amplify its influence in the bridge sector but will also ensure that concrete bridges remain a cornerstone of modern infrastructure.” Visit National Concrete Bridge Council for more information. ### For more information, contact: Julie.Webb@concrete.org 248-848-3148 Always advancing – The American Concrete Institute is a leading global authority for the development, dissemination, and adoption of its consensus-based standards, technical resources, and educational, training, & certification programs.
