PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Productivity is pleased to welcome PS=Ø ® who have joined as its newest Bronze Member. PS=Ø ® is a mechanical reinforcement splice system that eliminates pour strips and wall restraint, while maintaining structural integrity and allowing for volume change. Using proven coupler technologies, featuring a thread on one end and a grout-filled sleeve on the other. The patented system is an ACI CODE-318 permitted mechanical Type 1 and Type 2 rebar splice, is ICC approved, and made in the USA. “PRO is glad to welcome PS=Ø ® – an organization that delivers innovative pour strip solutions,” said Phil Diekemper, PRO Executive Director, “continuing to grow the list of PRO Members who understand the industry, recognize the need to fundamentally change our constructability approach to improve productivity in concrete construction, and take action.” PRO and its members aim to advance new technologies and processes that improve concrete construction productivity beyond historic levels.
