Abstract:
Due to the development of long lasting anodes, cathodic protection systems can protect reinforcing steel from corrosion during the entire life of the structure for new or replacement concrete structures. As indicated in the above projects, cathodic prevention systems are simple to install and do not require special concrete design considerations for corrosion.
