Abstract:
The performance of conventional, polymerized, and fiber reinforced concretes subjected to high velocity water flow with induced cavitation patterns is described. The results, which indicated superior performance of fiber reinforced and polymer impreganted concretes, are important because their application the design of concrete to be used in water passage structures. The materials and techniques tested in this investigation have been used in the repair of prototype structures subjected to high velocity water flows, and initial resuls have been promising.
