Abstract:
A method is proposed for the determination of an upper limit to the maximum crack width in reinforced concrete members. It is found to give satisfactory results in the case of the maximum crack widths measured in tests on 54 reinforced concrete beams and slabs and 60 tension specimens reported in literature.
