Abstract:
Test procedures for measuring the cracking resistance of neat cement, mortar and concrete are described. A relationship between shrinkage cracking and resistance to freezing and thawing is shown. These laboratory tests indicate that coarse-ground cement produces more durable concrete than fine-ground cement.
