Abstract:
In object-oriented programming systems, the emphasis is on the engineering aspects of automation rather than on the complexities of implementation. Two development projects are discussed: a precast segmental bridge geometry control linked with reinforcing bar detailing, and a practical system for detailing reinforcing bar that takes the differing needs of designers, detailers, fabricators, and placers into consideration.
