Abstract:
To provide additional information on the basic mechanisms of air entrainment in no slump concrete products, 21 different concrete mixes were produced. The test program was divided into two parts. A counter-current pan mixer was used to prepare the mixes of the first series while the mixes of the second series were batched using a revolving drum-type mixer. Four different air-entraining admixtures (AEA), selected for their different chemical compositions, were tested.
