Abstract:
The frost action on water saturated porous materials is studies and evaluated mainly by observing the changes of the mechanical properties of the samples. Such changes could be the result of structural, mineralogical, and phase transformations in cement stone under action of freezing and thawing. The study of those processes brings more understanding of the mechanism of frost action and its results.
