Abstract:
Often, ill-suited terminology is used to describe certain functions and practices of the engineering profession. Much of this is the result of the ever-changing meaning of words in the English language. There is a need to eliminate this confusion by using appropriate terminology, especially with respect to the basic facts of engineering and construction.
