Abstract:
Two slab specimens with six post-tensioning anchors and reinforced with headed studs in the anchor zone were tested. Results are compared with results from similar specimens with conventional hairpin reinforcing. Because of the efficiency of anchorage, the specimens with headed studs attained higher capacities. Based on comparisons of the experimental results with analytical results, an equation is proposed for the design of headed studs in the anchorage zone.
