Abstract:
ACI Committee 124, Concrete Aesthetics, recently discussed its role in significantly improving the visual quality of the concrete built environment. By identifying its target audience of consumers and creators, the committee hopes to better direct its educational materials. The author discusses the constituents of the target audience and describes ways to convey the importance of aesthetics to the public, government, engineers, architects, students, and craftsmen.
