Abstract:
The Hotel Ponce de Leon and the Tampa Bay Hotel, both built in the late 1800s, stand today as a testament to the beauty and durability of concrete structures. These revolutionary buildings were constructed by civil-war industrialists Henry Flagler and Henry Plant. They continue to serve now as key components of Flagler College and the University of Tampa.
