Abstract:
Modified from of an existing method of analysis for predicting loads in a connected system of slabs, shored and reshores is proposed. Imposed loads on shores and reshores during construction of a high-rise office building were measured and the results compared with corresponding values obtained from theoretical analysis. There was close agreement in the measured and theoretical shore loads. However, the loads measured on the reshores were found to be on average considerably less than the corresponding theoretical values.
