Abstract:
Ignorance of three phases of curing may lead to poor surface serviceability. Hydration continues only in water-filled space. A small dries out more rapidly than a large mass. The upper (outer) surface dries very quickly. Knowing “why” and “how” to cure adequately improves the desired properties of hardened concrete.
