Abstract:
The State of Connecticut did not take up the construction of concrete roads as early as many of the states in the middle west. The construction of the first concrete road in this state was commenced in the summer of the year 1913. It was built to replace a worn-out stretch of macadam and the type was adopte for the following reasons as further stated in the paper.
