Abstract:
Two large concrete structures, known as the Tunkhannock and Martin's Creek Viaducts, have recently been completed by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company, in connection with a grade improvement btween Clark's Summit and Hallstead, Pa. As the design and structural features of these viaducts have been extensively described in the technical press, this paper will be limited to a brief outline of the structures and to pointing out a few of the more essential features of the planning and carrying out of the work of construction.
