Abstract:
This article presents the results of an investigation into the particle shape of two types of crushed concrete and how particle shape is affected by the degree of processing of the materials. Each material was investigated using British Standards for the determination of the flakiness (FI) and elongation (EI) indices. The three-dimensional shape categories using elongation and flatness ratios proposed by Rösslein and the shape classification according to Lees are also presented.
