Abstract:
The statistical analysis of an experimental investigation of the fatigue strength of deformed reinforcing bars is described. This investigation was designed and excuted to permit the effects of several specified variables--stress range, minimum stress level, grade of bar, bar size and type of specimen--to be determined by statistical methods. In addition, other variables that had an effect on the fatigue life of the test bars were identified. The experimental investigation is described in a separate paper.
