Abstract:
Knowledge gained from slipforming heavy-duty concrete airport and primary road pavements has been applied to slipforming thin-concrete pavements for secondary and county roads carrying low volumes and light weights of traffic. Studies show that at low volumes of traffic there are few heavy multiaxle trucks in the traffic stream.
