Abstract:
A report on the first phase of a program of investigation of the mechanical properties of concrete subject to high temperatures is presented. The first phase had two objectives: 1) to evaluate instrumentation and techniques and 2) to study the effect of temperature on the mechanical characteristics of concrete under uniaxial stress.
