Abstract:
A new method for the analysis of reinforced concrete high-rise buildings during construction is introduced. The method follows the refined method to calculate the shore and slab loads for the steps of placing concrete. The structure is modeled as a computer model and matrix methods of structural analysis are applied to solve the structure. For the steps of removing shores and reshores, the deflection approach is utilized to calculate the actual shore loads. This is achieved by updating the displacement for the subsequent cases of loading and calculating the relative displacements as a function of the unknown shore loads. the application of compatibility conditions leads to a system of linear simultaneous equations and the solution of such a set of equations gives the unknown shore loads.
