Abstract:
Using the technology developed in Chicago in the 1960s and 1970s, an Atlanta concrete company increased compressive strength from the previous maximum of 8000 to the 12,000 psi currently being used to build One Peachtree Center. This 1.4 million square foot office tower in downtown Atlanta, scheduled to top out in August 1991, will rise 842 ft, creating Georgia's tallest building.
