Abstract:
Harmful effects of cement plant emission controls are explored. These controls were originally enacted to clean the air, but may be a leading cause in increasing acid rain, increasing alkali-aggregate reactions in concrete, increasing cement burns to concrete workers, and decreasing performance of cement.
