Abstract:
To rectify inaccuracies concerning the volatility of silanes and their application under harsh conditions, a study was undertaken that included analysis of the chemical and physical-chemical interactions that accompany application, laboratory evaluation of absorption and evaporation rates, and test applications under harsh environmental conditions. Results show that forces such as capillary action, electrochemical attraction, and chemical reaction occur so quickly that the effect of volatility is insignificant.
