Abstract:
Presents overview of the current state of and future prospects for the automation of concrete work in Japan. Examples of several fully and semiautomated machines are presented, including a horizontal concrete distributor, a concrete distributing crane, an automatic pressing crane, a concrete distributor for dam construction, an automatic form vibrator, a floor finishing robot, an autosetting form for dams, a concrete spraying robot, and a laitance removal unit for dams.
