Abstract:
The length of concrete service life depends on the correct choice and use of materials. Alkali-silica reaction, sulfate attack, and corrosion need early identification. These conditions can be controlled with resistant materials. Thermal cracking must also be controlled. This article details proper materials and their use and to control these problems and extend the service life of concrete.
