Abstract:
Mistakes and misconceptions concerning concrete and its repair have led to failures, poor performance, unnecessarily strict specifications, over-inspection, extra work, and extra costs. A better understanding of common concrete problems and issues can help to correct this situation. Article continues discussion from a prior installment of common problems and issues that involve construction workers, supervisors, professors, engineers, sales representatives, inspectors, and specification writers.
