Abstract:
Discusses the potential use of large inflatable fabric forms for building mobile shotcrete dome structures for containing airborne releases during environmental cleanup operations. A post-tensioned reinforced concrete ring beam serves as a footing for the dome. Mobility is provided by three large-capacity crawler-transporters that support the dome at steel-insert lifting points incorporated into the ring beam.
