Abstract:
Discusses the importance for long-term durability of compatibility of repair materials with the existing concrete substrate. Reviews the nature of materials currently used for surface repair of concrete and highlights some of the potential short- and long-term problems that may arise from incompatibility. Shrinkage of repair materials, one of the most important components of compatibility, is discussed in detail. 409-693
