Abstract:
A new method of treating the concrete surface is being researched. The Rollit Robot method uses a robot that travels on the fresh concrete surface, externally vibrates the concrete, smooths the surface, and densifies the outer skin. A prototype has been used to repair bridge decks in Sweden. Densification occurs as a result of mechanical consolidation and hydration.
