Abstract:
The Technical Committee on the Environmental Performance of Concrete Structures organized four working groups (Technologies, Assessment, Optimization, and measures WGs) with the aim of promoting the mitigation of environmental impact generated from activities of concrete production and concrete structure construction. These WGs carried out the following: a current state survey of the research/development of environmental performance improvement related to concrete development of an assessment tool for the environmental performance of concrete structures in view of the current state of existing tools; investigation and demolition of concrete structures; and proposal for effective environmental impact mitigation measures based on the current environmental aspects related to concrete structures.
