Abstract:
Fracture energy, strength, shrinkage and expansion properties of cement mortar are studied under different moisture content and surface tension solutions. Results indicate that the fracture energy and strength of mortar are lower according to moisture content and surface tension of immersion liquids increasing.Under total drying condition, the surface energy of mortar is highest, and the fracture energy and strength are maximal too. After seawater immersion, the fracture energy and strength of mortar decreased significantly. The swelling strain of mortar increases linearly with the increase of surface tension of immersion liquids.
