Abstract:
The author shares his personal experiences with using steel fibers for the construction of concrete floor and paving slabs. Although his first project with steel fibers included the hardships of fiber balling and finishing problems, he subsequently determined which fiber type worked best for his applications. And in the process, he discovered the benefits of using steel fibers, including the elimination of curling and joints. He also gives tips on construction details and proportioning for mixtures with steel fibers.
