Abstract:
This paper intends to inform about the last version of the EC4, related to the design and construction of composite steel and concrete structures. This work specially focuses on serviceability limit states and intends not only to explain the content of the code but gives a deeper analysis of the subject in order to clarify its comprehension. This chapter covers the deformation and cracks control limit states. The problem related with composite slabs, treated in chapter 7, and the limit state of vibrations are not included.
