Abstract:
The results of an experimental study on concrete tensile strencth by double pounch test with the highest punch excentricities, between 0,0 and 4,5 mm, are shown. Standarized simple compression, modulus of rupture and Brazilian test have also been carried out, studying at the same time the relationship between strengths as well as the agreement of the usual predictions of the ultimate strength on concrete blocks under concentrated loads. We show the results obtained on three different maximum size aggregate concretes, two ordinary types and a lightweight one, for ages of 3'7 and 28 days.
