Abstract:
The New High Speed Line belonging to the Platform Duplication Project of Andalucía Cross-sectional Railway Axis, crosses the existing High Speed Line Cordoba-Malaga close to the town of Santa Ana (Antequera), with significant skew. This, in addition to the rules marked by ADIF on minimum horizontal and vertical patterns to respect in good conditions for the inferior route, forces the bridge holding the new railway route to have a central span length superior to 85 m. Between the possible structural solutions, and after the accomplishment of a laborious dynamic study, a bow-string bridge is finally decided, holding a main span of 86,40 m long, and access spans of 32,40 and 27,0 m to both sides of the central one, so that its overall length is 205,20 m (27,0 + 32,40 + 86,40 + 32,40 + 27,0 m).
