Abstract:
The bond mechanism of rebars to concrete are the phenomena on which the structural behaviour of any kind of reinforced concrete is based. This paper examines the bond behaviour between concretes and reinforcements of different nature subject to both monotonic and cyclic loading. The results give an estimate of the static and dynamic bond capacity for the different types of concrete and rebars. The fatigue results also show a great sensitiveness to the testing procedure as well as the fabrication of the specimens.
