Abstract:
New approximate formulae for the design of reinforced concrete cross-sections of beams and columns are presented. This design is made in accordance with the CEB Model Code. These formulae are non-dimensional, and allow a precise design of the reinforcement of rectangular cross-sections in simple bending, in bending and compression and in biaxial bending and compression. Some numerical coefficients are used, which are presented in tabular form.
